NGAC Endorsement of the Platform
The National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) reviewed the draft version of the Geospatial Platform Roadmap earlier this year and provided initial comments and suggestions. The National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) reviewed the draft version of the Geospatial Platform Roadmap earlier this year and provided initial comments and suggestions. The NGAC is encouraged that the Administration has called for the creation of the Geospatial Platform and looks forward to continued engagement. The NGAC passed a resolution in support of the Platform in June:
“The NGAC endorses the Geospatial Platform concept as described in the Platform Roadmap and encourages the Administration, along with federal agency leadership, to adopt, support, and implement this initiative in partnership with State, local, regional and Tribal governments.”
Platform governance is a topic in which the committee has a particular interest. We would be interested to hear comments and suggestions from the community on how to establish a collaborative and effective governance model for the Platform.
